Bella-Solar®

Lightweight, Portable Solar Panels

Born through industry-academia collaboration with Mie University under the concept of “Generate your own power” and “Lightweight, portable, and foldable,” Bella-Solar® is a portable solar panel that contributes to environmental conservation and power supply in times of disaster. The photovoltaic cells are reliably made in Japan. It has been well received as a hometown tax return gift and has also been adopted by the Ministry of Defense of Japan.

Product Features

  • Lightweight and Durable

    Bella-Solar® is extremely lightweight thanks to its thin design. Furthermore, by folding it, it becomes compact to about 1/3 to 1/10 of its size (depending on panel size), making it easy to carry for everyone from children to the elderly.

  • Safety and Durability

    By sealing the photovoltaic cells with a highly weather-resistant resin, they are protected for a long period. Due to its flexibility, there is no risk of damage from dropping, unlike crystalline types. It has cleared IP57 in dustproof and waterproof tests, allowing use even in rainy weather or high-humidity environments.

  • High-efficiency Amorphous Solar Cells

    Bella-Solar® adopts amorphous silicon solar cells manufactured by F-WAVE. Because these cells use a two-layer structure, they can absorb a wide range of wavelengths from short to long. Compared to crystalline cells, annual power generation efficiency is 10% higher. In addition, because the cells are connected in parallel, power generation is possible even if partially shaded.

  • Disaster Prevention & Relief

    During natural disasters such as earthquakes, typhoons, and floods, Bella-Solar serves as an emergency power source. It can be used in conjunction with tsunami evacuation capsules, as well as in medical and relief operation settings. It supports charging of electric scooters, communication devices, and smartphones, helping maintain lifelines in emergencies.

  • Daily Life & Outdoor Activities

    Bella-Solar can also be used for outdoor leisure activities such as camping, hiking, fishing, and glamping. Since it can be charged solely with sunlight, you can feel at ease even when power sources are unavailable. It is suitable for marine sports and mountainous areas, supporting a wide range of activities.

    Bella-Solar is effective in regions without power infrastructure, such as developing countries, mountainous areas, and deserts. It is expected to be applied in various fields such as education, medical care, and agricultural support. It is also registered in UNIDO’s environmental technology database, raising its international recognition.
